Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Safety/Quality Control Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A background in workplace safety or experience supporting safety programs is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation.
- Administer the Orientation process for new workers. Setting up training, booking appointments, and demonstrating how to complete timesheets/logs/payload.
- Create and manage digital records using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software.
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating meetings, and maintaining calendars.
- Support compliance tracking and documentation related to safety programs (e.g., training records, incident reports, online compliance portals)
- Communicate professionally with internal teams.
- Maintain ongoing maintenance records and scheduling.
- Provide support to other departments as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Knowledge of or experience with occupational health and safety practices is a strong asset.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional requirements to support field documentation or training sessions.
