This role involves operating a single-axle pressure truck to service the oilfield and industrial sectors. Types of work include pipeline and equipment pressure testing, pipeline chemical batching, chemical transport and storage tank filling, freeze-up and hydrate removal, and other various industrial pressure work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 5 pressure truck in both on- and off-road environments.
- Maintain and operate equipment to the highest standards, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, and complete all required safety orientations and training to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including invoicing, time sheets, ELDs, and JSAs.
- Communicate effectively with customers on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Collaborate with all staff and customers to ensure each job is completed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1, 3, or 5 driver’s licence with air brakes and a clean abstract.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the oilfield service industry and pressure truck operations.
- H2S, First Aid, and Confined Space certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience operating a pressure truck or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed in extreme weather conditions.
