Position Overview:
The HR/Safety Coordinator will serve as a key member of our team, assisting with a wide range of functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, HR compliance, and employee relations. The role also supports our safety program through training coordination and basic compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support:
- Assist with recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviews and onboarding
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Serve as a point in contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits and procedures.
Safety Coordination:
- Implement and monitor compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards and company-specific safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Maintain safety records, including training reports and training logs
- Implement/create safe work procedures.
- Organize/lead safety meetings
- Investigate incidents and assist with corrective action plans.
- Manage and monitor WCB/modified duty cases to ensure the maintenance of the performance rating.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience of HR or safety experience (combined or separate roles)
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft platform
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
